We're joining forces with the 18th Ward to host special guests Brendan McPhillips and Kellan White from Biden's 2024 PA campaign team to talk with us about voter engagement strategies leading up to the November General Election.

This election is critically important, with our democracy and fundamental human rights on the line. Issues like abortion access, criminal justice, environmental rights, and our social safety net remain vital to many voters.

We know that many voters in our community understandably feel frustrated about the options in the race for President, given Biden's actions in the Israel-Hamas war. While it's crucial to address the valid concerns about Biden's handling of the conflict in Gaza, we must also remember the high stakes of this election. The potential consequences of not supporting Biden's candidacy are significant and could impact our progressive values and the future of our democracy.

Several key statewide races are also on the ballot, including Attorney General, Treasurer, and Auditor General. These positions could serve as a bulwark against injustice at the state level if Democrats are elected over Republicans.

At our June meeting, we'll have a candid conversation about the upcoming election in November. With our guests, we'll talk through how to effectively engage voters and mobilize successful GOTV efforts, given the challenging political environment. We’ll find ways to address the concerns of voters while emphasizing the importance of participating in the democratic process and supporting candidates who align most closely with our values.
